Working class neighborhood, walking and getting really old

Maybe a house in McMinnville?  An offer accepted, but you know how that goes.  A kinda scruffy workingclass neighborhood. The kind we grew up in.  A house from the 40s.  Back to walking, which I look forward to.  It's odd to be looking for a place to be old.

Good Day for a Walk

Morning walk around a McMinnville neighborhood, warm sunny February day.  The Carlton Together Cares auction is over.  Thinking about what comes next.  Will be looking at some houses.   Tomorrow night AAYC elects some Board of Directors at the meeting at the Chehalem Cultural Center in Newberg.
Editing for the next Cultural Textures show is coming along.  Harder to do when the weather is so nice.

Gardening

Sunny day in February here in Oregon. Prune the fig trees. Tomorrow do a Raku firing if the sun stays with us.

Our Foremothers art show

We interviewed jane and deanna yesterday at the chemeketa campus art gallery in Salem. Great interview. Our Foremothers is an amazing show. http://www.chemeketa.edu/programs/art/art_gallery/Foremothers.shtml Worth the trip to Salem. We will be producing a Cultural Textures show to put on local cable access MCM11.org, but seeing the show is so much better than any TV show. These 25 women artists from the past will inspire.
